Billy & Hells see themselves as single light photographers. The goal of their work is the depiction of the soul of things. They use a light source for the simplified representation of form, color and perspective. The central element is the omission. So they achieve a clarity that opens the view to the sublime. Their work is about the distinction and separation of the sublime from the usually beautiful. The clarity of the images allows the simultaneity of the opposite. Reason and sensuality do not match.
