Roberto Badin was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and has lived and worked in Paris since many years. As a fashion photographer, from the beginning, he found in studio-based still life, a dimension that inspired him to meticulously construct each image with the intention of giving the viewer room for interpretation and placing them in the story. His work is cinematic and thoughtful with an uncommonly clean, graphic quality. He always says that the most important part of « still life » is the « life » part, rather than the « still » part. Roberto Badin’s first book, Inside Japan, was published in november 2018 by Benjamin Blanck Editions. Clients include YSL, Prada, Dior, Cartier and Henessy.
