NRC interviewed photographer Elizar Veerman about his book
Elizar Veerman is a Moluccan-Dutch documentary and portrait photographer based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. His photographic practice is particularly concerned with the effects of Colonialism and migration. Focusing on boys and men with a history of displacement, he explores representations of masculinity and acts of (self-)reclamation.
