Last month Hotel Modez in Arnhem was opened. Studio Piet Paris designed the logo, wrote the hotel concept and is responsible for the art direction. Fashion design, craft and product design all play a part in the hotel interior. More than 30 Dutch fashion and product designers have attached their name to a room. In the hotel it is as much about the aesthetic value of fashion as it is about explaining the profession. 'Originality is the operative word, and all the rooms in this hotel full of fashion and design are different,' says Piet Paris, 'but the visitor senses unity nevertheless.'
